Class A CDL Driver – Semi-Local Denver, CO

Position Overview
We are seeking Class A CDL drivers for local and regional routes out of Denver, CO. Drivers will deliver refrigerated grocery freight from the Kroger Distribution Center in Aurora, CO to King Soopers stores across Colorado, Southern Wyoming, and Eastern Utah. Routes include a mix of live unloads and drop-and-hook, with no-touch freight and multi-stop deliveries.

Pay & Compensation

• Weekly Average: $1,411
• Top Drivers: $1,581/week
• Mileage Pay: $0.70 – $0.80 per mile (based on experience)
• Stop Pay: $17 per stop (average 13 stops/week)
• Detention Pay: $24/hr after 2 hours, up to $150
• Winter Mountain Driving Bonus: $1,000 (Nov-Mar, Regional only)
• Safety & On-Time Delivery Bonus: Up to 3% additional
• Annual Salary Potential: $73,372 – $82,212

Schedule & Home Time

• Local (50-mile radius): Home daily with occasional overnight runs during surge periods
• Regional (60-mile radius): Home weekly with a 34-hour reset, occasional stop-throughs at home
• No fixed schedule; 70-hour weekly commitment
• Freight operations are 24/7, based on customer needs

Route & Freight Details

• Territory: Colorado, Southern Wyoming, Eastern Utah
• Average Weekly Miles: 1,700
• Freight Type: Refrigerated, multi-stop loads
• Load Types: Live load/unload, drop-and-hook
• No-touch freight (reefer training provided)
• Consistent, predictable freight

Equipment

• Mostly 2025 model trucks with automatic transmissions
• Equipped with auto-chains for mountain driving
• Regional drivers may need a personal vehicle for facility access (except Rifle domicile)

Job Duties

• Safely transport refrigerated grocery freight
• Complete live unloads using proper equipment
• Manage multi-stop deliveries efficiently
• Maintain communication with dispatch and store personnel
• Adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A
• Minimum 3 months driving experience
• Professional driving attitude and commitment to safety
• Able to handle mountain driving (for Regional routes)
• Ready to commit to a growing operation with multiple route options

Orientation

• Location: Salt Lake City, UT
• Orientation Pay: Minimum wage, 12 hours
• Training includes reefer and customer-specific procedures
